Breeze Richardson

Director, Strategic Partnerships

As the Director of Strategic Partnerships, Breeze is responsible for working to ensure a coordinated and fully developed partnership program for Chicago Public Media.  She is also the Executive Director of the Off-Air Series, the station's live event programming now in its fourth season.  As a producer, Breeze manages Chicago Amplified, Chicago Public Media's web-based audio archive of public events produced by leading cultural institutions and organizations throughout the community, as well as WBEZ's annual Louder Than a Bomb program.

Breeze joined Chicago Public Media in September 2003 as an intern for Worldview, WBEZ’s weekday global affairs program. She later became a producer for Worldview and went on to produce StoryCorps-Chicago in 2005. 

Prior to joining Chicago Public Media, Breeze hosted Get up, Stand up at WHPK at the University of Chicago and was a regular columnist for The University Daily Kansan. She also co-founded The Kaw Valley Independent, a community newspaper in Lawrence, Kansas.

Breeze has a M.P.P. from the University of Chicago’s Irving B. Harris Graduate School of Public Policy and a B.A. in Economics and American Studies from the University of Kansas.

Originally from Kansas, Breeze resides in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago with her husband, Kelsey, and their boys, Gus and Iggy.
