Goli Sheikholeslami is a highly regarded executive who has successfully built and led operations at several prominent media companies over the past 20 years. Her experience is a rare combination of traditional news media and digital innovation at both emerging and established organizations.
Greta anchors weekends and reports on everything from Pi Day to innovative ways of saving endangered ferrets. She also co-hosts WBEZ’s Nerdette Podcast. Prior to joining WBEZ in 2014. Greta hosted Morning Edition at WCQS in Asheville, North Carolina and at KUAC in Fairbanks, Alaska. Greta has a BA in English from Saint Olaf College and a MS in Journalism from Northwestern University. In her abundant free time, Greta enjoys reading, knitting, and walking her corgi.

Sam Phelps is an Account Executive with the corporate sponsorship team, connecting companies and organizations with WBEZ’s passionate and engaged audience via its award-winning programming.
Prior to joining WBEZ, Sam worked as Director of Marketing & Sponsorship at WXRT in Chicago. He earned his B.S. in Marketing at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Sam lives in Chicago, and in his free time enjoys playing guitar, going to concerts, and riding his bike along the lake.
Ashley joined WBEZ’s Membership & Marketing team full time in June 2018 after completing her Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management at DePaul University. As a longtime public radio listener and fan, she is passionate about giving WBEZ’s members and listeners an experience that is second to none.
Kristen Schorsch is a reporter on WBEZ’s government and politics team, covering Cook County. Previously, she covered health care, government, crime, courts and news of the weird (think coffin parties) for Crain’s Chicago Business, the Chicago Tribune, the Daily Southtown and the Iowa City Press-Citizen. Kristen is a longtime board member of the Chicago Headline Club and helps organize the club’s annual FOIAFest about public information and transparency. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Illinois and is a proud Daily Illini alumna.
Nereida Moreno is a producer on WBEZ’s Morning Shift program. She previously reported for the Chicago Tribune’s metro desk with a focus on immigration and Latino communities. Prior to that, Nereida was a breaking news reporter with the Southern California News Group. She covered crime and public safety issues in her native San Bernardino, Calif. before moving to Chicago in 2016.
Nereida earned bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and American Studies from California State University, Fullerton. She drinks beer in her spare time.
