Chicago - Chicago Public Media (CPM) announced today that Goli Sheikholeslami has been selected by the board of directors as the organization's new chief executive officer and president.

Sheikholeslami is a highly regarded media executive who has served in a number of executive roles at leading news organizations, including The Washington Post. Sheikholeslami will begin her new position May. 5.

[MARCH 18, 2014] Chicago Public Media's Vocalo 90.7 FM invites friends and foes to their first ever #hatersball, a fundraiser, concert and dance party, on Friday, April 11 at Chop Shop, 2033 W. North Avenue. The multi-tiered evening in Chop Shop's 6,000 square foot party space is both a celebration of the vocalo community and fun party to cap off their pledge drive that takes place the week leading up. Featuring music from JC Brooks, the Vocalo DJ Collective and DJ Ayana Contreras. 

CHICAGO (Feb 25, 2014) - Chicago based WBEZ 91.5FM, one of the country's premier public radio stations, will launch its first Pledge-Free Stream for the duration of the Spring pledge drive starting March 6; an audio stream taht allows qualifying members to listen to a web version of the WBEZ broadcast without hearing the pledge drive. CHICAGO (February 10, 2014) - WBEZ 91.5 FM, one of the country's premier public radio stations, expands on its annual one-day Global Activism Expo with the launch of a year-long series, Worldview's Global Activism Seres in 2014. The new Series, to be anchored by Worldview host Jerome McDonnell and his team, kicks off with Global Activism: India, exploring the culture of India via discussion, art, dance and food at the Chicago Public Center. Event is free and open to the public, of all ages.
